The goal was to bring together NHL players to form two competitive teams to offer people across Quebec a high-caliber show, while raising funds to help organizations working in host cities. Nine cities were visited, namely: Ch\u00e2teauguay, Saint-Hyacinthe, Sherbrooke, Sorel, Drummondville, Rimouski, Quebec, Chicoutimi and Jonqui\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n<p>This Tour generated profits of around $ 402,725, of which nearly $ 300,000 was distributed to more than 20 organizations and associations in the various cities visited. With the help of the Players&#8217; Tour, the Gervais-Talbot Foundation also helped three other national organizations:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>The Ronald McDonald Foundation, a good partner in this tour, received an amount of $ 10,000. This Foundation helps sick children and their families.<\/li><li>The Les Petits Tr\u00e9sors Foundation, helping children with autism, received $ 50,000.<\/li><li>The Canadian Tire Jumpstart Foundation, which financially helps underprivileged families so that children can participate in organized or recreational sports, received $ 50,000.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the \u201clockout\u201d of the NHL in the fall of 2012, Maxime Talbot and Bruno Gervais set up the Player Tour across Quebec.
